the bookshop hosts regular thursday night events where authors, poets and designers come and talk about their work with an intimate audience under the starry wapping sky. following in the footsteps of playwright Deborah Levy, the bookshop’s first reader, have been many acclaimed writers including Edna O’Brien, Iain Sinclair, Jeanette Winterson, Michael Rosen, Richard Milward, Linda Grant, Billy Childish, the wonderful poet George Szirtes and the acclaimed film maker Mike Figgis.
…these events are announced one month at a time and all start at 7.30pm. signed copies of the author’s books are available to buy on the night and we ask for anyone wishing to attend, who does not make want to make a purchase in the bookshop, to kindly pay £5. seating is very limited so to save a space for any of the readings please email me specifying which event you would like to attend.
